Jaguar weaving is a textile art form characterized by its complexity and beauty. It is mainly practiced in the province of Salta and in some areas of Jujuy and Tucumán. Skilled weavers use colorful, natural wool yarns together with sophisticated weaving techniques to create unique and striking pieces.

What sets jaguar weaving apart is its intricate design, representing the majestic feline sacred in many indigenous cultures of the region. The weavers employ a weaving technique called "punto de trama", which allows them to create detailed and realistic patterns of the jaguar's body, including its distinguishing features such as eyes, claws and fur.
